“I chose Stirling partly because it was far enough away that I could feasibly leave home, but also because of the great sports facilities. For example, I’ve learned to dive here, starting with six weeks' training in the pool and then moving to open water, often diving in places like Loch Fyne, Loch Long and on the east coast.
One of the best things about my programme is the fieldwork – for example, we went to Mull and Millport for 11 days in the summer, chasing whales, dolphins and seals! The field trip took in several days on the boat conducting surveys, as well as anatomy classes in the lab and lectures.”
