Jenny: The University of Stirling has fantastic 5 star sports facilities. On campus we have, among other things, a 50 metre swimming pool, a nine hole golf course and football, hockey and rugby pitches.
The University of Stirling also has a running track and a cricket pitch.
Will Mackenzie: My name’s Will Mackenzie and I am the Sports Union President. The University of Stirling has 43 sports clubs and we literally cater for everything. If there was a club that we didn’t have, it’s very easy to start a new one up. These clubs have competitors who are high performance orientated but also socially orientated as well so we cater for everyone.
International Student: I play golf so I want to play golf here on campus. Here we have a golf course, driving range – a good environment for me.
Jenny: There is also a gym, fitness suite and a free weight area, and any student can join it – you don’t have to be a sports student.
Will Mackenzie: The University of Stirling has some fantastic facilities. They are rated 5 star by the Sunday Times – which is one of very few Universities in the UK that has rating. It’s also I believe the best University in Scotland for facilities on one spot and one location. We have some fantastic synthetic pitches, the swimming pool is actually a National Swimming Academy and there’s a National Tennis Academy here as well.
Jenny: The University is home to the Scottish National Tennis Centre, and there are both indoor and outdoor courts for everyone to enjoy
