Stirling is a student city and around 20 percent of its population are students. There is a range of bars, eateries and venues on campus and in Stirling itself, so you can sample a great range of places to enjoy a night out.

It's no surprise that Stirling is Scotland's University for Sporting Excellence. The campus has some of the finest sports facilities on a single site in the country, including the National Swimming Academy and the Gannochy National Tennis Centre. The campus is also home to the Scottish Institute of Sport, Commonwealth Games Council for Scotland and Scottish Swimming.

9. Arts Centre

The MacRobert Arts Centre is at the heart of the campus and offers a lively programme of drama, dance, film, comedy and music . Facilities include a cinema, theatre and café bar - with discounts for students.

 

10. Advanced Information Technology

The majority of study bedrooms are networked, and you can easily connect your PC to the University's high-speed network from where you can access all the University services (e.g. library catalogue, course notes, printers and filestore, as well as the internet). There's also a student PC support service, for help in connecting your machine to the network.
