Playgroup

Some provision is available within the University for pre-school age children. The Psychology Department at the University runs a playgroup for children aged two years nine months to five years old. The playgroup runs each week day morning from 9am to 12pm. A maximum of 16 children attend each morning under the care of two registered and experienced playleaders. There is also a parent and toddler group (open to children aged between birth and three years) held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 1.30 to 3.30 pm.

Crêche

The macrobert arts centre on campus runs the Treehouse arts crêche for babies and children from six weeks to 12 years. Open Monday – Friday, 9.15am – 1.15pm. Tel: +44 (0) 1786 466666

Nursery

Students with children may also be interested to know that adjacent to the University is the Bright Beginnings Nursery, which caters for children from three months to five years of age. Bright Beginnings Nursery works in partnership with Stirling Council to provide free commission places, up to 12 and a half hours a week, for children between three and five years of age*. The Nursery also follows the Scottish Office guidelines on curriculum for three to five year olds. It also aims to meet each child's individual needs and wishes. The Nursery operates 8am to 6pm throughout the year and is situated in a house with easy access to the University campus.
