Stirling University Students' Association (SUSA) represents and serves all your interests, both within the University and beyond, and works to make your time at Stirling as happy and fulfilling as possible. Complementing Student Development and Support, SUSA offers:
SUSA is run for students by students, and all members can get involved in running the Association's activities. You will normally become a member of the Students' Association automatically when you register.
Because of the Association’s ethos as a student’s ‘second home’, it has won several awards. These include Best Bar None accreditation for three years running in 2005, 2006 and 2007. This is an award that recognises SUSA’s long-standing commitment to social responsibility and the safety of its members.
SUSA runs a range of venues together with an entertainment programme geared to appeal to all students, whatever your tastes. Best known are the bars (Studio and Long Bar), which provide a social focus for the University. The Robbins Centre, at the heart of campus, is also home to the Students’ Association’s administrative offices.
Studio's deck area offers outside
dining with great views, while inside the
plasma screens and lounge sofas make
the bar a favourite place to wind down.
Alternatively, the Long Bar also offers
plasma screens, lounge sofas, wireless
internet connectivity and sports
memorabilia. Both venues have recently been awarded 'Eat Safe' status by the Foods Standards Agency for excellence in food hygiene.
Be sure to check out the venues section of SUSA Online regularly to find out about events coming soon.
