The MacRobert Arts Centre
macrobert is a well-established arts centre at the heart of the campus. It produces and presents a programme of film,
theatre, dance, music and comedy with particular emphasis on work with and for
young people.
A student concession is offered on all shows and films and there are regular student special offers. Sign up to receive monthly emails which give details of these and other events. Visit www.macrobert.org and click on 'students' to join. NUS extra cardholders are also entitled to 20 percent off all tickets.
If you would like to get more involved, macrobert also runs a student rep scheme.
The packed entertainment programme starts with the annual Re-Fresh Film Fest and continues all year round.
Facilities include:
- state of the art cinema, filmhouse
- café/bar open 9am till late, with video projection/performance space for comedy and live music
- theatre with seating for almost 500 people, mainhouse
- children's art gallery with projection facilities for animation and other film work produced by children, arthouse
- Scotland’s first dedicated, professional children’s theatre, playhouse
- fully supervised crèche, involving children in arts activities, treehouse
- workshop and rehearsal space, workhouse
- children's room with playstations, books and games, wallace's den
