I was fortunate enough to secure a place on the MBA Retailing programme and the experience proved invaluable
Paul Devereux
”I left formal education following my A-levels in something of a hurry, keen to make some money and buy a car. So it was 18 years into my extended ‘gap year’ that, as a senior retail manager faced with increasingly complex business issues, I decided it was time to undertake an MBA. I was fortunate enough to secure a place on the MBA Retailing programme with the Institute for Retail Studies at Stirling, and the experience proved invaluable.
I’ve worked abroad for much of my career, and these days I live in Saudi Arabia where I oversee a Retail and Distribution group of companies. Never a day goes by when I don’t put my hand on the toolkit that my MBA experience gave me. I have fond memories of my time at Stirling and have even vacationed in the area a couple of times since. I must say that, without a deadline to work towards, it’s even prettier!”
