A host of leisure pursuits can be indulged at the University of Stirling, both sporting and cultural.

On campus

Stirling is renowned as a centre of sporting excellence, and this is reflected in the superb range of sports facilities available to conference delegates on campus. These include:

• 50 metre indoor swimming pool
• 9-hole par 3 golf course
• Large fitness centre
• Sports Hall
• Indoor and outdoor tennis courts

Visitors seeking some culture on campus should look no further than the MacRobert Arts Centre. A 460 seat theatre and ultra modern cinema provide a year round varied programme of live theatre, music, dance and film.

Off campus

Off campus, many of Scotland's top visitor attractions lie within easy reach.

The University nestles in the shadow of the Wallace Monument, a towering tribute to 'Braveheart', Sir William Wallace. Less than two miles away, and dominating the skyline, is the spectacular Stirling Castle.

The 'bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond' and the rugged beauty of the Highlands are easily accessible from Stirling's central location. One of Scotland's newest and most spectacular man made attraction – the unique Falkirk Wheel, linking the Forth & Clyde and Union Canals – is also a short distance away.
